Watch out there's a new breed of carnie in town
When I was young we use to go to the county fairs in the area all the time. Tractor pull night of course and we'd go around trying our best to win some glorious prize like a cheap mirror with some stupid logo on it. Then of course there were the Carnies. They were there to do one thing and one thing only make a buck and who could blame them.
Anyway on that little thing it brings me to what I call the new group of carnies. Their called mall carnies. You know the guys. Well dressed working a kiosk. Always have a few people standing around. They sell cell phones and they always try to get your attention. Usually like "Can I ask you a question" which of course you politely say "You already did" and walk on. It's like having a caller out there just trying to catch your attention. "Hurry Hurry step right up" has been changed to "What do you pay for your cellphone?"
So as you go through the mall just think carnie and keep moving. No offense guys but it's getting pretty bad. Almost to the point where I want to give you that wide area I give those people hocking the free stress test. I don't need a stress test from someone who's only item on their kiosk is a book. Now maybe if they were selling aroma therapy, candles, and other similar things I could understand the stress test.
